In 2005 Geraint decided the strings on his bow needed replacing. Instead of having stock strings put on his bow he decided to invest in a string jig and some material and started making his own strings. In early 2007 he put his string making to the test taking a bow with custom made purple and yellow strings to the IFAA World Indoor Championships in Germany. He dropped just a single point in 4 rounds proving his strings to be up to the task of elite level archery.
The birth of G-Force
In 2006 Geraint opened his own pro-shop Blackrock Archery based in South Wales (UK). Geraint continued to work on the string making process and invested in newer more precise string making machinery as well as testing more string and serving materials. Three years on, after making strings for local customers and Blackrock Pro-staff it was time to put the strings to market….
…..the company would be G-Force and the strings….well G-Strings of course!
